Water & Sewer Services

 

The Town of Arcola provides safe, reliable water and sewer services to our residents and businesses. Utility rates are set by Bylaw No. 2022-03: Utility Service Charge Bylaw, which outlines the fees for water consumption, sewer service, and related charges.

Billing Information

  • Billing Periods: Utility bills are issued every two months (February, April, June, August, October, December).

  • Payment Due Date: Bills must be paid within 30 days of issue.

  • Overdue Accounts: A $10 late notice fee will be applied if payment is not received by the due date. An additional 10 days will be granted to bring the account up to date.

  • Disconnection & Reconnection: Non-payment may result in water disconnection. A $100 reconnect fee will apply. Water reconnections will only be done during regular working hours.

Water Rates (Schedule A)

  • Monthly Service Charge (Metered Customers)

    • 3,000 gallons or less → $30.00 minimum

    • Over 3,000 gallons → $6.00 per 1,000 gallons (or part thereof)

  • Non-Metered Customers → $30.00 per month

  • Infrastructure Charge (Residential & Commercial) → $10.00 per month

  • Bulk Water Sales (when available) → $20.00 per 1,000 gallons

  • Monthly Service Charge
