The Town of Arcola is a vibrant and active community that thrives on connection, celebration, and tradition. With a full calendar of events year-round, there's always something happening for residents and visitors alike. Whether you're here to cheer on local talent, shop local, or just enjoy a good laugh with great company, Arcola offers events for all ages and interests.

Here are just some of our 2026 upcoming events...

January 31, 2026: Optimist Club Snowmobile Rally

Established in 1976, the Optimist Club of Arcola has been bringing winter excitement to the region for decades. Their annual Snowmobile Rally is a beloved tradition, drawing riders from across Southeast Saskatchewan for a day of scenic snow trails, camaraderie, prizes, and a hearty supper. The funds raised go toward local projects in Arcola, Carlyle, Lampman, and surrounding areas. A must-attend event for snowmobile enthusiasts and community supporters alike!

March 25 - 29: 64 Rink Curling Bonspiel (2026 Special Event)

Celebrate 125 years of curling tradition in Arcola with a historic 64 Rink Bonspiel at the Arcola Curling Club from March 25–29, 2026! This milestone event includes a celebratory banquet, exciting cash prizes, a silent auction, door prizes, and of course, unforgettable curling action. Get your team ready and be part of local sports history!

March 12: Skating Club Ice Show

Don’t miss the Arcola Skating Club Ice Show either, where our talented local skaters showcase the skills they've developed over the winter.

March: Paint the Ice 

As the rink season winds down, we invite the community for one final hurrah, Paint the Ice Night, where families and kids grab paint and brushes to create colorful memories right on the rink surface.

 

April: Moose Mountain Wildlife Supper & Auction

The annual Wildlife Supper and Auction, hosted by the Moose Mountain Wildlife Federation, is one of the largest and most exciting events of the year! With a delicious meal, live and silent auctions, raffles, and prize draws, the event brings together volunteers, 4-H youth, and the wider community to raise funds for conservation efforts, youth outdoor programs, and habitat protection across Southeast Saskatchewan. Always a sell-out night with thousands raised for great causes!

April 11: Spring Poker Tournament

Put on your poker face for Arcola Leisure Services’ Spring Texas Hold’em Tournament at Prairie Place Complex! With our brand-new professional tables and a great turnout, it’s a fun night out with serious bragging rights and prizes up for grabs.

April 25: Gord Bamford Concert with special guest Dallas Alexander

Enjoy a night of great country music with Gord Bamford on April 25 at Prairie Place. Proceeds from this concert will go toward building a new play structure at Ed Hanna Park, benefiting children and families in our community.

May 15: Arcola School Graduation

A proud moment for families and the entire community. Arcola School’s Graduation celebrates the achievements of our next generation of leaders. The whole town shares in the joy and pride of this milestone event.

June 6: Town-wide Garage Sale

Get your bargain hunting hats on for the Community-Wide Garage Sale on the first weekend in June. Then clear out the clutter with Free Dump Day on the second weekend, a perfect opportunity to clean up around your home and yard.

June 13: Color Run & Free Dump Day

Take part in a 5 km run, walk, or dance through town while getting splashed with vibrant color powder along the way. This fun event supports a new play structure at Ed Hanna Park. Also, take the chance to clear out the clutter with Free Dump Day, a perfect opportunity to clean up around your home and yard.

June 20: Arcola Fair

The third Saturday in June marks the return of the Arcola Fair, hosted by the Arcola Fair Society. From steer shows and the crowd-favorite Hocks & Horns Roping Event to a bustling exhibitor hall, trade show, beer gardens, and mouthwatering food – this is a true celebration of rural life and community spirit.

July: Canada Day Fireworks

Celebrate Canada Day the Arcola way, with family, fun, and a spectacular fireworks show that lights up the prairie sky!

August: Momentum Kid's Camp

Keep the kids active and entertained this summer! Each Wednesday in August, our kids camp is packed with games, crafts, and activities that spark imagination and encourage friendship.

 

August: Arcola Rodeo

Held on the third Friday in August, the Arcola Rodeo is an action-packed event on the Canadian Cowboys Association circuit. Watch the best in bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback, barrel racing, and team roping—plus family favorites like wild pony races and sheep scrambles! With food vendors, live music, and a buzzing beer garden, it’s the rodeo you’ll want to come back to year after year.

September 12: Craft & Trade Show

Start your Christmas shopping early at our Craft & Trade Show, a highly anticipated event featuring over 70+ vendors offering handmade goods, home décor, clothing, art, and more. Held at Prairie Place Complex, it also offers a delicious lunch for shoppers to refuel between aisles.

Fall: Community Fall Supper

Hosted by the Arcola Daycare, our Fall Supper brings people together with classic homemade comfort food and warm hospitality. All are welcome—come enjoy a hearty small-town meal while supporting local childcare.

October: MacMurray Theatre Reopens

The MacMurray Theatre kicks off its winter season in October, with Friday and Saturday night movies and monthly Sunday matinees. Operated by the Optimist Club of Arcola, this cozy theatre offers more than just films – it's a community hub for special performances, local talent showcases, and themed movie nights throughout the season.

 

October 21: Oktoberfest Cornhole Tournament

Celebrate fall with us at our Oktoberfest Cornhole Tournament! Teams of two can compete in a friendly cornhole competition while enjoying the festive Oktoberfest atmosphere. Fun for all ages and abilities!

November 20: Comedy Night featuring Big Daddy Tazz

Laughter takes center stage at Arcola Leisure Services’ Comedy Night Fundraiser for the Prairie Place Complex. Enjoy a prime rib supper, cocktails, and a lineup of hilarious entertainment. Great for holiday parties or a night out with friends! Don’t forget to try your luck at the Fall Poker Tournament too.

 

November - Fall Poker Tournament

Missed your chance to go all-in during the spring? You’ve got a second shot this fall with our Texas Hold’em Fall Poker Tournament! Hosted by Arcola Leisure Services, this event features professional tables, great prizes, and an exciting evening of cards and camaraderie. Whether you're a seasoned player or just in it for the fun, it's a can't-miss night on the community calendar.

December 5: Arcola Buck Night

Held on the first Saturday of December, Buck Night is for hunters to show off their trophy antlers (typical and non-typical) measured by a certified Boone & Crockett scorer. With supper, raffles, and prize draws, it's a great evening for sharing stories and celebrating the hunting season.

December 12: A Main Street Christmas

Held on the second Saturday in December, A Main Street Christmas is like stepping into a Hallmark movie. Start your day with a pancake breakfast and free public skating, then visit the Christmas craft fair, enjoy kids' activities, and watch a festive matinee at the MacMurray Theatre. Santa makes a special visit for photos, and the evening wraps up with hot dogs, sleigh rides, and cocoa around the fire on Main Street. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the magic of the holidays with your whole family.
