Our Commitment to Community Health
Arcola has a long-standing tradition of supporting local health care. When faced with the closure of the Arcola Health Centre due to a province-wide physician shortage, our community didn’t wait for a solution — we built one. A group of dedicated residents came together to form Moose Mountain Health Care Corp (MMHCC), a non-profit organization focused on restoring local medical services.
With strong backing from the Town of Arcola and surrounding municipalities, MMHCC developed a first-of-its-kind rural health care model in Saskatchewan — one that allows physicians to focus solely on patient care, while operational responsibilities are supported at the local level.
This collaborative approach reflects Arcola’s deep commitment to accessible, community-driven health care. Our investment in a modern medical clinic, partnership with local governments, and support of allied services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and chiropractic care demonstrate that health and well-being remain at the heart of our community values.
In Arcola, health care isn’t just a service — it's a shared responsibility and a community success story.
A healthy community is a strong community.
