Water Supply and Treatment Upgrades Project

EXCITING NEWS FOR THE TOWN OF ARCOLA!
A major investment in our community's future!
The Town of Arcola is pleased to announce that our Water Supply and Treatment Upgrades Project has been conditionally approved for funding, subject to final requirements, under the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF).
With a total eligible project cost of $9,374,400, this significant investment will help the Town move forward with securing a more reliable and sustainable water supply for our community.
Funding for this project is allocated as follows:
Government of Canada: $3,749,760 (40%)
Government of Saskatchewan: $3,124,488 (33.33%)
Town of Arcola: $2,500,152 (26.67%)
For many years, Arcola has faced challenges with its existing water source, including seasonal water quality concerns and limitations in water availability. Securing a dependable, long-term water supply has been one of the Town's highest infrastructure priorities.
The planned project includes:
Development of a new groundwater source, including new wells.
Installation of a new water supply main to deliver water to the treatment facility.
Construction of a new water treatment plant.
Additional reservoir storage capacity to support the community's current and future water needs.
This investment is about more than infrastructure. It is about protecting the essential services our residents rely on, supporting future development, and ensuring Arcola remains a strong and sustainable community for generations to come.
The Town of Arcola extends its sincere appreciation to the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan for their substantial financial contributions and continued support of small communities like ours.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
Investing in our water. Investing in our future.
